About the Traineeship
We are looking for ambitious and motivated individuals to join Sunshine Coast Council's Traineeship Program.

This is a rewarding opportunity where you will gain a certificate level qualification combined with valuable work experience and a supportive and dynamic work environment to develop your skills


As one of our Trainees, you will be exposed to a wide range of areas within our organisation and the services that we deliver to our vibrant community.

You will work alongside experienced professionals and receive on-the-job training, as well as structured learning and development opportunities.


About the Role
As the Field Trainee, you will gain experience and exposure to:

  • Undertaking and completing the Certificate II Conservation and Ecosystem Management qualification, participating in both on and off the job training, as set out in the Certificate II Conservation and Ecosystem Management training plan.
  • Liaise with other staff, management and all other customers or service providers in a professional, timely and courteous manner.
  • Work efficiently as a member of a high performing work team, ensuring the provision of quality customer service at all times and ensure that all work is carried out in a timely manner.
  • Eliminate or report hazardous conditions and work practices that come to one's attention and report promptly any incident that involves work related injury or illness, near miss or damage to property or the environment.
  • Operate and maintain Council's plant and equipment as per the manufacture's recommendations.

Applicants
must also be:


  • Aged 15 years or older and no longer at school
  • Able to meet citizen, residency and visa requirements to undertake a traineeship.

Our Traineeship program are entry-level positions that have been developed for people with limited work experience and limited qualifications.
