Unique Metals Laser provide high precision cutting and fabrication solutions to a variety of industries. We have 8 sites across Australia, with our corporate office located in Coopers Plains, Queensland.

About the role:

We currently have an opening for a Draftsperson in our branch in Wangara, WA.

Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will be responsible for:

Supporting Unique' s customers and clients through all issues relating to the Laser cutting and fabrication of their products
Servicing our customer's needs and requests professionally, thoroughly and in a timely manner
Provide technical support to our production, sales and customer service departments
Creating Shopfloor drawings
Modifying customer concepts to create detailed fabrication drawings
Reverse engineer cad files to create 2d flat patterns for laser cutting

Experience in Manufacturing with a high degree of experience in drafting for the metal industry
An understanding of fabrication processes including, laser cutting, folding, welding and assembly processes
Experience with 2D and 3D design packages, preferably Inventor / Autocad software
Experience in Sheetmetal design
Ability to prepare bills of materials
Liaising with suppliers to source components
A working knowledge of MS Office
Excellent customer service skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to prioritise and work to tight deadlines
Willing to learn brake press folding software
An understanding of drawing standards
