Our client is seeking a

DevOps Lead/ Systems Lead to join their high performing talented teams.

This is a permanent role, ideally based in Melbourne the client is flexible with WFH / Remote options available - within Australia / New Zealand (Sydney, Brisbane, Adelaide, Perth, Canberra, Tasmania, Auckland, Christchurch).

The successful applicant will need Aus Citizenship as you will be required to obtain a security baseline clearance to work on high profile Government projects.

Purpose To lead and support the System Team (3 DevOps Engineers) by promoting frameworks, methodologies, and tools to enable the delivery of high-quality solutions with resilience, consistency and speed through automation.

This role is roughly broken down as:30% Team Leadership

50% Azure Cloud - Frameworks, DevOps Best Practice, Cloud Engineering, Planning, Non Functional, DR.

20% SQL DBA Experience (ideal but not mandatory)

Skills, knowledge and expertise (highly desirable):

Strong software development/engineering experience
Strong leadership skills with the ability to engage and coach Agile teams.
Have a solid background in the provisioning of InfrastructureasCode (IaC) and Configuration as Code (CaC) pipelines using ARM, PowerShell or YAML
Thorough understanding of VNETs, NSGs, Service Endpoints, App Services Environments and Private PaaS Infrastructure
Understand Cloud enterprise deployment and how to deal with all Security aspects when implementing secure solutions.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to express complex ideas clearly.
Design and implementation of build and release pipelines (Azure DevOps)
Azure IaaS, PaaS, SaaS (Web Apps, SQL Azure)
Related Tertiary education/qualifications
Eligible to obtain Baseline Security Clearance/ must have Australian Citizenship
Proficient in Microsoft SQL DB Maintenance Strategies
Understanding of NoSQL database technologies such as Azure Cosmos DB
Building ISO 27001 compliant solutions in Azure
Experience building crossregion highly available solutions in Azure.
Experience with the SAFe methodology or Agile SDLC
