The Role


Reporting to the Production Manager, we are looking for a Maintenance Fitter to minimise downtime and ensure output and productivity targets are met.

You will be responsible for preventative and scheduled maintenance as well as ad-hoc maintenance so some flexibility with hours may be required.


This role would also suit someone with LEAN manufacturing experience and who understands why continuous improvement is beneficial to an organisation.

We are looking for someone with the following experience;

  • Proven technical ability to troubleshoot, diagnose and repair manufacturing and packaging machinery.
  • Responsible for minimising machinery downtime by ensuring machinery and equipment are kept in good working order
  • Perform preventative, routine and breakdown maintenance
  • Experience with Scope, Keifel & Illig Thermoform machines. Experience also preferred with MPI carding machinery, carton taper, labelling and bundle wrapping machinery
  • Mechanical engineering or fitter & turner background may suit. Must have practical, hands on experience
  • Highly desirable for this person to have an ability / understanding of tool setting
  • Understanding of WHS compliance requirements essential

Hours
Monday to Friday

7am to 3.30pm (although some flexibility may be required)
