Client


My client is a large mining house that owns and operates a number of open cut mining operations in Australia.

They are looking for a Technical Services Superintendent to manage, mentor and lead a team of Mining Engineers at one of their operations in the Mackay Coalfields.


The Opportunity
Manage a team of inhouse mid-term and long-term mine planning engineers for the owners' team on site. It's an open cut dragline, truck/excavator mining operation.


Responsibilities

  • Manage, lead and enable your team of Mining Engineers,
  • Delivering 3+ month to LOM plans and schedules,
  • Supporting continuous improvement and development initiatives of your team of Mining Engineers,
  • Working collaboratively within the Tech Services team and other departments on site (D&B, Production, Operations, etc).

Requirements:


  • Mining Engineering Degree or relevant tertiary qualifications (Geo, Geotech, Surveyor background is fine),
  • 3+ years as a leading Senior or Superintendent in a Technical Services department in open cut mining operations,
  • Must reside/relocate within QLD (FIFO, DIDO and Residential options available,
  • Must have full AU working rights (no sponsorship on offer here).
