- The training and development of staff to build a solid base in engineered solutions capability within the Site Services team.
- Manage P&L with regard to the service business
- Drive the implementation of any improvement opportunities in safety and TOC.
- Plan, implement, sustain the improvement in Lean (Weir Production System) in service environment
- Scheduling and planning of commissioning activity into the region.
- Growth and business development of site services
- Operational excellence and continual improvement of site delivery
- HSEQ: to achieve zero harm, zero defects and zero environmental incidents
- Build rapport and respect as the trusted advisor for core business of Minerals Processing needs.
- Maintain knowledge of all Company products in the Pumping and Process Equipment, e.g., Slurry Pumps, Cyclones, Valves, Hose, Rubber, Screen, GEHO, HPGR, Centrifuge and other to be acquired products and services is required
- Ensures Customers receive first-class customer care and service as measured via the Weir Customer Experience Program (WCEP) where customer feedback is monitored and action plans put in place, bridge any Gaps in the Customers perception of Weir Minerals.
- Look for opportunities to improve the existing product range through engineering developments in design and technology, and actively progress their trial.
- Train key Customer personnel in the application and operation of Company products.
- Monitor competitor activities and implement trials to compete where the product is installed.
- Certificate III in Mechanical Fitting or qualifications in Mechanical Engineering
- Minimum of eight 4-5 years' experience in a leadership/management role within the minerals processing industry or similar, managing multiple products and mechanical services.
- Prior experience with Weir Products would be highly advantageous
- Be available to travel to client sites based on customer project requirements
- Excellent communication skills and commercial acumen (written & verbal)
- Ability to build customer relationships and liaise with internal & external stakeholders at all levels
- Computer Skills – Ability to use the Microsoft Suite and general computer software

Purpose of Role:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Field Service Manager to manage our Weir GEHO Service Team.
You will be responsible for leading site service activities and mechanical/shutdown projects, within the APAC region and other international assignments.
You will lead your team to provide best in class site-based services and create long term relationships with the customer through face-to-face contact, fostering trust, reliability, and strength.
While our preference is for the successful candidate to be based in Somersby, NSW, we highly encourage applicants from other cities/states to apply. We are flexible regarding the Weir office location to accommodate the needs of business and the ideal candidate.
