The City of Port Phillip is an inner-city council with around 1000 employees who deliver more than 100 programs and services to our residents, businesses and visitors.

These range from childcare and immunisations, to libraries, management of parks and open space, rubbish collection, road maintenance and more.

About the Role

The Culture and Safety Programme Lead is a valued and integral part of the People, Culture and Safety department who will be responsible for leading the development of the strategic framework, plan and policies required to manage psychosocial hazards in the workplace at a systemic and operational level.

This role will collaborate and influence at all levels, both with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate positive outcomes for the City of Port Phillip employees.


Duties:


  • Scope, plan, implement and evaluate psychosocial programmes in line with Legislative requirements, People and Culture Strategy and Policy within City of Port Phillip
  • Provide strategic advice and support to Council staff and project teams to develop, implement and evaluate projects under psychosocial programme
  • Update, develop and review key policies and resource material to align with programme objectives

Skills and Experience

  • Experience and knowledge in managing and implementing complex, multidimensional programmes contributing to organisational culture and employee wellbeing
  • Advanced knowledge and experience within employee engagement design, delivery and implementation, particularly working within a diverse organisation
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including report and policy writing skills, with advanced attention to detail
  • Degree qualified in project management or related field
  • Demonstrated experience in programme management (preferably within areas of People, Culture and Safety) across diverse stakeholder groups
