About Us


Murdoch University's Office of Quality and Standards provides essential services in managing the development of educational policy and provides central services supporting quality and compliance monitoring and enhancement; curriculum management; and development of student integrity by oversight and management of student discipline processes relating to general and academic misconduct.

In addition to operational responsibilities, the Office leads a variety of strategic programs aligning with the University's strategic vision.

The Role


Are you someone who enjoys working with people, and is equally comfortable navigating computer systems and spreadsheets? Would you enjoy helping to keep data accurate and up to date? This could be the role for you.


The Curriculum Information and Systems team manages Murdoch's curriculum management system, CourseLoop, which is the key record of all course, major, minor and unit information for the University.

The data stored in CourseLoop informs a number of other systems including class timetabling and the student Handbook.


On a day-to-day basis, your work would include supporting the team by being the first point of contact for enquiries.

It would also include working with academic and professional staff to help them use the curriculum management system.

You would review proposals for curriculum change to ensure they comply with policy before implementing them, in addition to assisting with work to improve data quality.

Ultimately, this work contributes to making high quality information available for students in our student Handbook.


What you'll bring to this role- Relevant undergraduate qualification or progress towards an undergraduate qualification and/or an equivalent combination of relevant work experience and education/training- High level of computer literacy, with the willingness to learn new packages as appropriate- Organisational, time and workload management skills- Work effectively in a team and to communicate with a range of stakeholders- Ability to use initiative, take responsibility for tasks and to resolve routine problems.
