About the opportunity


We are seeking a highly motivated Eductor Truck Operator who has experience in driving/operating trucks in all facets of civil construction/maintenance including cleaning and repair of drainage structures, construction and restoration of road pavements/ footpaths and kerb and gutter to fill a position in the Civil Operations team.


Qualifications and experience

Essential:


  • Solid experience in operating minor plants
  • Sound knowledge in all aspects associated with the maintenance of Council's roads and drainage assets
  • Solid experience in operation and use of jet vacuum eductor trucks
  • Solid experience in clearing and cleaning drainage structures including various size stormwater pipelines, drainage pits and pollution control devices
  • Sound knowledge of the functions of road and drainage maintenance activities
  • Aware of Work Health and Safety responsibilities
  • Knowledge of applicable legislation/regulations
  • Class MR Licence
  • Appropriate Workcover Certificates and Licences.

Remuneration and benefits
The salary and conditions of employment are in accordance with Blacktown City Council's Enterprise Agreement.

  • Entry level for this position starts at $1,122.68 per week
  • 38 hour working week
  • Rostered Day Off (RDO) every fortnight
  • Employee benefits such as leave entitlements (where applicable), 10.5% employer contribution payable to your nominated superannuation fund, Fitness Passport, and gym membership discounts, and social clubs.
