Job description:


We are looking for an experienced business leader to join our team for the position of Business Unit Manager based in Sydney (NSW).

This strategic role is intended to continue building the local presence in Australia and New Zealand through expansion of the technical and commercial team, driving sales and customer experience, and completing the establishment of the Australian subsidiary.


Pellenc ST is a world leader in Optical Sorting Technologies and has experienced significant growth in the Australian and New Zealand markets over the past 4 years.

Capitalizing on this growth and positioning the subsidiary for continued success are key elements of this role.


The main tasks of this role are:


  • Manage and lead the commercial and technical team with a focus on sales, operations, and projects.
  • Set priorities and targets according to objectives, resources, and processes
  • Manage the development of the teams skills and knowledge
  • Communicate and promote the company's values
  • Manage communication and interactions with Pellenc ST headquarters based in France

Collaboratively develop the territory strategy and the business development plan

  • Define and deliver the strategic and business development plan according to the group strategy
  • Actively participate in the delivery of the global sales and marketing strategy
  • Ensure accurate and timely reporting according to Pellenc ST's requirements.
  • Drive the effective management of relationships with Key Accounts, customers, integration partners, and prospective customers.
  • Seek out new opportunities and build relationships within the industries that drive our business.

Ensure Operational excellence

  • Coordinate project management activities in the region and ensure stakeholder satisfaction.
  • Promote and coordinate the activities of the Test and Training Centre
  • Manage the installed base of machines and continue to collaborate with customers to evolve the growth of our equipment in their operations.
  • Ensure our support and service meets our customer's requirements and drive customer satisfaction

Minimum of 5 years of experience in selling large capital equipment.

Sales and operational management experience.


You must have technical/engineering background and be confident providing guidance to our customers with the support of the local and French technical team.

Demonstrated expertise in managing large sales territories and key accounts.

Experience managing long and complex sales processes.


Education & Language requirements:

Bachelor degree or equivalent in Engineering (The required education degree may be substituted by extensive professional experience involving similar work responsibilities and/or additional training certificates in relevant domains.)
