An exciting opportunity exists for a talented and passionate individual to join the Strategic Communication, Engagement and Protocol (SCEP) in the role of Executive Assistant at the Department of Premier and Cabinet.


Strategic Communication, Engagement and Protocol (SCEP) division provides specialist communication and protocol advice and support to DPC and the Premier's Private Office.


The Executive Assistant role is a busy and challenging role supporting the Director, Advertising and Governance, and Director, Collaboration and Engagement, as well as other executives across the Strategic Communications, Engagement and Protocol division.


The role requires a proactive self-starter with an ability to work with limited supervision in a complex, sensitive and fast paced environment.

You will have exceptional verbal and written communication skills and your time management will be a strength. An ability to prioritise tasks and remain calm under pressure will ensure success in this role.

About you

  • Demonstrated experience in providing high level confidential administrative and business support to a Senior Manager and/or Executive team.
  • High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office suite, in particular MS Word and Excel, electronic records management, finance and procurement systems, and calendar scheduling.
  • Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills with ability to clearly and confidently communicate with people at all levels, identify key messages and deal with sensitive communications well.
  • Demonstrated willingness to be flexible and adaptable to changing priorities with the ability to meet deadlines in pressured situations.
