An exciting opportunity is available for a switched-on, passionate and highly organised Content and Communications professional within the SUNSTUDIOS team.

SUNSTUDIOS Sydney is a busy creative hub for professional photographic, film and television production image makers, in a beautiful renovated 1930s woolshed in Alexandria.

We are a highly collaborative team that work closely to provide the best possible experience and services for our community of professional visual creatives.

In this role you will be exposed to all aspects of the professional photography and film/TV and take advantage of the facilities and expertise we offer.

This hybrid role balances remote work combined with onsite days across SUNSTUDIOS and the Canon headquarters in Macquarie Park.


As a member of the Sales and Support Group (SSG) Marketing Communications team, this role is responsible for supporting the end-to-end development and execution of Integrated Marketing Campaigns, events and the onsite experience for SUNSTUDIOS, and supporting the planning and execution of strategic marketing activity for the Canon Professional Imaging Solutions division.

You will play a key role in bringing the SUNSTUDIOS and Canon Pro brand to life through best-in-class strategic content and integrated marketing campaigns that support business goals.

A creative flair, meticulous attention to detail and strong organisational skills will be critical to success in this role. This role directly reports to the Marketing Manager - SUNSTUDIOS.


Main Duties

  • Support the campaign initiatives and goals developed in line with business strategies to achieve the business goals for SUNSTUDIOS and Canon Australia
  • Support Integrated Marketing Campaigns including work across online, instore, events and services
  • Contribute to the creative development for key campaigns, ensuring brand consistency and audience relevance
  • Support development of product and brand campaigns to support business direction and ensure optimum revenue and profitability
  • Ensure translation of product attributes and benefits consumerled messaging into market (campaigns and advocacy plans) relevant to SUNSTUDIOS audience
  • Identify, support and execute written and video content opportunities for SUNSTUDIOS and Pro content creation
  • Manage the social and advocacy strategy for SUNSTUDIOS
  • Alongside the website team, assist with ongoing content uploads and maintenance of the SUNSTUDIOS website
  • Contribute to the planning and management of industry events at SUNSTUDIOS

About You


You are someone that has a relevant marketing function experience, and you know your way around utilizing Microsoft products and Photoshop.

You are well-versed about marketing communications including content marketing, consumer insights, social media, positioning and promotional strategies.


Key skills include:

  • Tertiary qualifications in communications, media or marketing
  • 2+ years' experience in a similar marketing function/role
  • Knowledge of marketing communications, with a deep understanding of how to create engaging experiences and articulate them through a multitude of social, digital and instore channels
  • Proven ability to perform indepth analysis, compile and interpret results, plus track and report on success metrics
  • An enthusiasm to follow digital marketing trends (analytics, SEO, user experience, technology)
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Basic knowledge of SEO, SEM and brand metrics
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and basic knowledge of Photoshop
