Current opportunity:


This newly created role sits within our Shared Services - Executive team and reports into the General Counsel - Head of Legal.

You'll be joining a diverse team who work collaboratively across various offices around the country.

The Contracts Manager will provide procurement and other contract management support to our inhouse legal team.

This will also include general commercial advice to senior internal stakeholders in relation to our contracts with suppliers, clients and contractors in line with guidance and support provided by the inhouse legal team.


As part of our flexible / hybrid work environment, we are open for this role to be based out of any of our integrated offices - Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne, or Adelaide.


What you'll be doing:


  • Take responsibility for the oversight and daytoday management of contracts and other data uploaded and stored in BDO's contract management system.
  • Provide timely updates to internal stakeholders around key contract milestones and contract renewal dates.
  • Develop and support positive relationships with suppliers, client contract representatives and other external stakeholders.
  • Assist the BDO inhouse legal team and other internal stakeholders by providing contract review support, and daytoday oversight of contract precedents and other contracts and procurementrelated reference material.

What you'll need to succeed:


Combined with:

  • A solid working knowledge of common contract and procurement terminology, contract risks and solid general commercial acumen.
  • Good attention to detail and time management
  • The ability to handle sensitive information and maintain professionalism at all times.
  • Qualifications in business, contract administration, law, or similar will be well regarded but are not essential.
  • Experience in process improvement / data assurance will also be useful.
