The role

Reporting to the Finance and business manager, this opportunity is available for an experienced Accounts Officer who has experience across both accounts payable and payroll.

In this role you will be working in a team and responsible for:

Accounts Payable

  • Full Accounts Payable function
  • Maintain creditors ledger
  • Process payments into Dynamics AX software
  • Recording of supplier invoices
  • Process and administer cheque & EFT payments
  • Query overcharges and process credit notes from suppliers

Payroll

  • Administer the weekly payroll for all states weekly circa 70 employees
  • Collect timesheets for payroll from all departments.
  • Ensure superannuation payments are made on time.
  • Data entry, new starters, terminations, payroll deductions, timesheets, leave requests etc
  • Reconciliation and general maintenance of payroll systems
  • Interpretation of EBA and Award employment conditions
  • Payroll tax calculations, reconciliations, and lodgments for all states
  • Process employee reimbursements
  • Maintain Payroll entries into the finance system and reconciliations.

About you

  • Minimum 3 years' experience in financial and/or accounting including accounts payable, payroll and reconciliations.
  • Experience in SAGE Micropay and Dynamics AX desirable however not essential
  • Proactive approach to improving payroll processes and systems.
  • Excellent attention to detail and time management skills.
