Working closely with the Production Manager, the key responsibility will be to process orders and oversee the cycle of order fulfilment.

You will also be responsible for making sure supplies, stock, materials, packages, and/or products are processed through the delivery and/or warehouse system efficiently, accurately and safely.

Key responsibilities for this position include:

  • Work in conjunction with the Site Manager and Production Manager to ensure the Health and Safety of all employees and visitors to the site, in accordance with Occupational Health & Safety regulations;
  • Coordinate the warehouse team and support the inbound and outbound customer order preparation and dispatch;
  • Arrange transportation, schedule staff, and coordinate deliveries to meet customer demand;
  • Ensure warehouse is organized, presentable, and safe at all times;
  • Study warehousing and inventory management industry issues and trends;
  • Maintain updated and accurate records of inventory, including transfers and cycle counts;
  • Oversee inventory and supply chain management according to company guidelines;
  • Utilize daily/weekly/monthly inventory reporting to anticipate demand/supply needs;
  • Understand inventory levels and work with site leadership team to help generate sufficient levels of inventory to optimise availability for customers;
  • Continually assess systems to identify issues and opportunities for improvement;
  • Manage warehouse inventory and stocktakes;
  • Build individual administration skills by supporting and assisting in other administration functions at the Toowoomba site.
  • Assist in the ongoing development and training of site personnel in the implementation of the despatch office and warehouse processes.
  • Contribute to an effective team environment within the warehouse and site/despatch administration.

The key skills required for this role include:

  • Experience in an office environment;
  • Sound knowledge of accounting and administration functions;
  • Thorough understanding of Microsoft Office systems;
  • Strong verbal, negotiation and written communication skills;
  • Ability to work autonomously;
  • Planning and organising skills;
  • Ability to work as part of a team;
  • Analytical ability;
  • Initiative and decisiveness;
  • Understanding of Microsoft Dynamics/365 desirable;
  • Warehouse Certificate IV desirable;
  • 2+ years' experience in warehousing or inventory management or logistics environment desirable.
