We are working with the City of Moreton Bay to source them a Senior Growth Monitoring Analyst, with this exciting contract opportunity.

This position will assist in delivering the regional growth monitoring program, providing specialised advice on the preparation of planning assumptions and performing complex spatial, data and demographic analysis to build an evidence-base to inform strategic land use and infrastructure planning decision-making processes to meet the needs of the community within the Moreton Bay City Council area.

As a Senior Growth Monitoring Analyst within the Strategic Planning and Place Making team you will:

  • Provide technical expertise and guidance to other team members in the delivery of the regional growth monitoring program, and specifically the regional planning assumptions and associated documentation, in accordance with statutory requirements and responding to related SEQ Regional Plan matters.
  • Develop, maintain and manage the program's planning assumptions data in accordance with best practice outcomes and contribute to data management improvement activities.
  • Lead the delivery of specialist data management and analysis inputs that supports realtime understanding of regional growth patterns and change activity (including demographic and workforce changes) within the region, in accordance with metadata requirements.

Desired Knowledge & Experience:


Comprehensive knowledge and experience in spatial, data and demographic analysis, specifically in relation to planning assumptions and town planning matters.


  • High level knowledge of strategic planning and development issues including infrastructure planning (including Local Government Infrastructure Plans), regional planning, land use planning and policy review/ development, demonstrated innovation and the ability to deliver on our commitment to continual improvement.

Qualifications:

  • Degree in Urban and Regional planning or spatial science, geographical information and data analysis; or equivalent.
  • Current C class driver's licence.
