Description

Our contract cleaning business is looking to hire a
Part Time accounts payable/receivable officer to assist with the efficient operations of our growing business.


This position is part time,
20 hours per week, Monday to Friday, within school hours, 3.30pm finish, no weekend work will be required.

Hours could be flexible for the right applicant.


You will be responsible for:


  • Assisting with front of house management including general office upkeep
  • Assisting with processing of fortnightly payroll in Employment Hero
  • Working with Xero accounting software for invoicing/bills
  • Accounts payable/receivable processing
  • Raising tax invoices and variation documents to clients
  • Working with external accountants as required
  • Reconciliation of bank statements
  • Greeting clients into the business for meetings and appointments
  • Processing and filing of administration documents

Skills and experience:


  • Experience using Xero Accounting Software
  • Experience using Employment Hero payroll or other payroll program
  • Proficient skills in Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel
  • Excellent interpersonal, organisational, effective communication and problemsolving skills
  • Professional attitude, outgoing and friendly personality
  • Proven customer service skills with professional telephone manner
  • Commitment to building and maintaining strong working relationships with clients, contractors and other team members
  • Ability to work closely with HR Payroll staff daily and be available to cover leave

Requirements:


  • Proven work experience in Accounts Payable/Receivable
  • Good knowledge of bookkeeping procedures and debt collection regulations
  • Handson experience with accounting software. Solid experience and knowledge of Xero an advantage.
  • Experience with Employment Hero payroll platform
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel (using financial formulas and creating spreadsheets)
  • Proficient data entry skills with an ability to identify inconsistencies and errors
  • Good organisational and timemanagement abilities
  • Experience in payroll processing and award interpretation would be a benefit
  • Ability to prioritise tasks
