About the Role...

You will be a key member of our high performing People & Culture team of seven based in our Darwin support office.

Your role as a People & Culture Advisor will be providing HR & IR support and services to the ALPA Team, including specialist advice, project management, training and coaching services and support, in a range of areas, including:

  • Employee induction and onboarding, development and training;
  • Policy interpretation and documentation;
  • Compensation and benefits administration;
  • Employee welfare and wellbeing;
  • Employee services and counselling;
  • Employee Relations/Performance Management; and
  • Employee engagement.


With your strong skills, knowledge and experience, you will work collaboratively with the P&C team, to originate and implement sound HR | IR practices and objectives that will provide an employee-orientated, high-performance culture that emphasises quality, accountability, productivity and compliance whilst strengthening our overall employee experience.


  • Minimum 2 years exp at an Advisor/Business Partner level
  • Tertiary qualifications in human resources &/or CPHR
  • Experience gained in a multidivisional organisation would be ideal, alternatively those with experience within a leading professional services firm (eg. accounting and/or engineering) are also encouraged to apply
  • Solid generalist P&C| HR experience covering a wide range of issues, from both an operational _(essential) _and strategic _(ideal) _perspective
  • Proven experience in employee and industrial relations matters
  • Experience working with business owners/executive team
  • Project management experience (ideal)
  • Exceptional communication skills at all levels and a strong client service focus
  • Strong 'hands on' HR style with the ability to instil confidence and influence others
  • Ability to multitask and manage competing priorities
