THE POSITION:

Fairfield City Council's Sustainable Resource Centre is seeking a dedicated Weighbridge Operator to join our dynamic Recycling team based at Wetherill Park.

In this role, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks related to the Weighbridge.

From serving customers and addressing their queries to managing traffic flow and operating the weighbridge, your role will be crucial in ensuring the smooth logístical control and coordination of all incoming and outgoing loads and vehicles.

Additionally, you'll handle payments, generate documentation for loads, and maintain communication with drivers, transport companies, and plant operators.

Your assertiveness, fairness, exceptional time management skills, and keen attention to detail will make you an invaluable asset to the team.


ESSENTIAL:


  • School Certificate
  • Excellent Communication and Customer Service skills
  • Construction Induction Certificate (White Card)
  • Current NSW Drivers Licence
  • Knowledge of Microsoft software packages

DESIRABLE

  • Experience operating a Weighbridge in a similar environment
  • Asbestos Awareness

SALARY & EMPLOYMENT CONDITIONS:


  • Permanent position, 76 hours per fortnight (9 Day Fortnight)
  • This position is a Level C, salary range is $61,066 p.a. with progression to $ 67,406 p.a. on demonstrated competencies, with performance progression to $71,531 p.a.
  • A Uniform is provided
  • Span of hours between 6.00am until 6.00pm
