About the role:


As a Specification Consultant for Dulux you'll be putting your people skills to the test, liaising with key industry bodies including the Architects Institute of Australia and Design Institute of Australia, and managing relationships with Architects, Design teams, and major development and construction firms across Sydney CBD and surrounds.


You'll be building your profile within the realm of specifications as you work closely with our other business units, writing accurate specifications using your expert knowledge and putting together informative presentations to support projects.

As a strong team player, you'll also collaborate with our Projects team and fully utilise our in-house systems to track work through to completion.


Responsibilities

  • Manage and develop professional relationships with a range of architects and designers and key project stakeholders to succeed
  • Create lead opportunities for sales team
  • Leverage our position with state based influencing bodies such as the Australian Institute of Architects
  • Develop relationships and provide Technical support for specifiers, project managers, builders and painters
  • Making regular site visits with the project representative on targeted projects to ensure relationship is maintained.

Skills & Experience

  • Ability to multitask
  • Paint and Coatings experience preferred but not essential
  • Strong commercial acumen
  • Specifications experience is preferred but not essential
  • Relationships within the building /construction industry would be advantageous
