Ahrens has a unique career opportunity available for a motivated individual our join our growing passionate and professional design & construction team in Keysborough.

In this role, we are looking for someone who has recently completed or in their final year study of tertiary qualifications in Building, Construction or Engineering and is looking to kick start their construction management career.

Working across a variety of industrial, commercial & rural projects around Victoria. As a Construction Graduate you will engage in many opportunities to learn, whilst bringing new initiatives to the table.

The key to this position is growth whilst giving you the solutions about document control, contract administration, site engineering and projects.


Key Responsibilities

  • Complete Project Administration processes including invoice processing, reporting, tender preparation and contract administration.
  • Undertake various Project Management duties including budgeting, programs, purchasing and subcontract tendering and award.
  • Facilitate and manage project approvals and design processes.
  • Understand and complete Head Contract progress claims, variations and extensions of time.
  • Understand and complete Subcontract progress claims, variations and invoicing.
  • Facilitate Practical Completion process including Project Handover documentation.
  • Preparing, compiling and submitting Operation and Maintenance manuals including, As-Built drawings
  • Overall management and close out of defects
  • Observe and learn construction processes at a site level
  • Develop and maintain effective working relationships with Key Stakeholders

Skills and Experience

  • Computer skills with Microsoft packages
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in Building, Construction or Engineering
  • Current driver's license.
  • Completion of OH&S Induction Training for Construction Industry Workers (White Card)
  • Planning and organisational skills to deliver successful projects on time.
  • Communication and interpersonal skills for developing and maintaining client and subcontractor relationships.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Excellent time management and prioritisation skills
  • Attention to detail.
  • Willingness to learn, selfmotivated and driven
- "can do" attitude

  • First Aid Certificate (desirable)
