Our Mining & Infrastructure Division delivers engineering and construction projects for our key Tier 1 iron ore producing clients, which enables them to sustain and expand their mining operations.

As a trusted partner to the WA & QLD resource sectors, Calibre is integrated in our Client's Major Projects which enables up to go above and beyond and succeed together with our clients.


The Role:

This position will lead the Cost Control team to ensure smooth delivery of cost control across projects. You will support and lead the team to facilitate them developing, measuring, integrating and performing. Your day to day will include, but is not limited to;

  • Facilitate the monthly Progress Claims process
  • Ensure comprehensive reporting on Cost Control information
  • Contribute to building and maintaining key strategic partnerships by appearing as the spokesperson on Project Control matters
  • Oversee the accurate and timely delivery of Project Control Services across Calibre East Coast through the effective leadership of the Cost Control team
  • Monitor progress and identify potential problems in respect of budgets, schedules, engineering standards

A key element of this position is communicating and leading the implementation of an operational plan (study, package, design), to ensure successful delivery of an engineering project.

We need someone with an exceptional level of detail and analytical thinking, paired with a solution-focused attitude.

We hope you'll come with the following experience:

  • 10+ years' experience in project engineering, management and project controls role, with experience successfully leading a team
  • High level of computer skill with advanced Microsoft Excel, Word and MS Office package abilities
  • Understanding of Budget allocation, WBS, SOW, Cost terminology
  • Comprehensive understanding of the budget allocation process
  • Ability to summarise and communicate complex data quickly and in a simple format

  • Bachelor of Engineering degree (4year duration) accredited by Engineers Australia at level of Professional Engineer; or Bachelor of Project Management degree
