Basil's Homes NSW & ACT is an activity of the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of Australia and was established specifically to provide care and lifestyle options to ageing Australians.

We care for over a thousand seniors using quality accredited best-practices in health and safety, and a workforce of over 650 suitably qualified and compassionate people in an environment with culturally traditional values.

All six of St Basil's residential aged care homes situated across metropolitan Sydney comply fully with the requirements of the Federal Aged Care Quality and Safety Commission.


Essential Criteria:


  • Certificate IV in Leisure and Health or working towards.
  • Demonstrated experience organising and facilitating centrebased activities, group outings and social support programs to support resident wellbeing.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Effective conflict resolution, prioritisation and time management skills, and the ability to work productively within deadlines.
  • Demonstrated understanding and knowledge of Aged Care Quality Standards and ACFI or the ability to learn.
  • Excellent Microsoft Office skills.
  • Ability to support the mission and values of St Basil's.

Desirable Criteria:


  • Ability to work in a culturally diverse environment.
  • Understanding and empathy with religious based service delivery.
  • Proficiency in spoken Greek and Greek cultural appreciation is an advantage.
