The Opportunity

Maintenance Operations Managerrole with our Maintenance Repair and Overhaul (MRO) Services team leading the program focussed aircraft maintenance and modification activities to support the P-8A Poseidon platform, based at RAAF Base Edinburgh, South Australia.

Our
Maintenance Operations Manageris responsible to provide leadership, tactical planning and technical leadership for multi-skilled support teams. This role will provide the successful applicant an exciting management opportunity in a unique, fast paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure that the technical workforce meets the requirements to work within a CoA Part 145 Maintenance Organisation in a manner compliant with the DASA Regulations
  • Maintaining and progressing governance actions, managing Risk Assessment (RA) requirements prior to enacting new maintenance procedures and equipment and coordinate RA reviews
  • Maintain and monitoring WHS standards in accordance with BDA Policy and State Regulations
  • Managing employee leave, shift rosters, timesheets, security clearances and training
  • Conduct recruitment, finance and procurement activities in support of project standup
  • Develop and maintain customer relationships integral to the success of the P8A enterprise.

Experience / Qualifications:


  • Experience in both deep maintenance operations and major modification activities
  • The ability to continually improve team performance and work processes through feedback, problem solving and idea generation
  • Skills to develop and implement new policies and procedures that will impact maintenance operations
  • An indepth knowledge of DASA Part 145 maintenance requirements
  • A minimum of five years of military or commercial aircraft maintenance experience
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • A strong knowledge and understanding of Microsoft Office products
  • Hold Certificate IV in Aero Skills (or equivalent).

Security Clearance


You will be required to successfully undergo the vetting process for a Government security clearance (Negative Vetting 1) sponsored by BDA.

Therefore, you must be willing to disclose all relevant and required information and must have the ability to verify your background for whole of life i.e.
