At Chris O'Brien Lifehouse the Day Therapy team is responsible for delivering chemotherapy treatments to patients.

Your challenge as the Day Therapy Receptionist will be to effectively manage the front line services to all patients undertaking care by the Day Therapy team


Your responsibilities will include:

  • Triage enquiries and the needs of patients; ensure the smooth operation and clinic flow for patients and doctors and undertake all elements of booking, registering and billing of patients
  • Clerical administration within the ambulatory clinics and treatment areas
  • Work in close liaison with the department clinical staff, front office, health information service and other patient services teams.
  • Accurate and timely collection of patient details, which will be entered into the ICT systems.
  • Responsible for patients completing all of the required paperwork and claim forms and collection of all relevant fees.
  • Undertake financial estimates / quotations for patients; Medicare and health fund checks and provide as accurate as possible informed written quotation for the patient's intended treatment plan, ensuring that this is clearly communicated to the patient.


To be successful in this role, you will be an outstanding communicator with demonstrated reception skills and the ability to work within a busy department.

Experience within the health Industry and working with Patient Admin systems and customer service is highly desirable.

You must have the right to work in Australia.
