Description

Consider yourself a marketing all-rounder, but with advanced content/digital experience?:

  • Do you have strong experience across content development and events?:
-
Interested in tourism, country Queensland, food and wine?:

  • Work-from-home opportunity

About us:

After years living and running businesses in Brisbane our family are embarking on a 'tree-change' to country Queensland (a tourism town three hours South-West of Brisbane) where we are establishing a new cellar door and wine brand along with taking control and running the local pub.

The region we're moving too has enormous potential.

It's boomed post COVID with significant investment being made by out-of-town folk who (like us) can see the opportunity in the region.

We've bought a significant vineyard out there in a prime location and are currently underway with the development of our cellar door, winery and restaurant (due to launch early 24), and busy working with local winemakers to produce our first range of wines which we aim to launch late 23.

We've also recently purchased the neighboring property - the local pub, which we will completely renovate and turn into a family friendly 'gastro pub' later this year.

Sounds idyllic right?

About the Role:

The role is relatively broad (hence the all-rounder experience) but has specific focus on two key areas: content marketing and events.

You will be responsible for producing and promoting content for two new businesses (cellar door and pub) and three brands (the vineyard, the wine brand/cellar door and the pub).

You will work with and manage (both remotely and in person) local photographers and videographers to capture the personality of the three brands, along with external agencies or freelancers for design work and production as we require.

You will be the guardian for our master events strategy across the two businesses (cellar door and pub) helping to curate and promote everything from small scale events such as weekly trivia nights at the pub through to 'produced events' such as small music festivals or long lunches out amongst the vines alongside our dedicated event producer.

You should have broad experience in:

  • Working with and managing 'graphic design jobs' with our freelance designers
  • Managing, creating and executing social and search advertising campaigns (paid)
  • General marketing oversight working with managers at both the cellar door and the pub on promotions, collateral or working with our key partners (ie. the regional tourism agency or alcohol suppliers) on specific comarketing opportunities.

But you should have strong experience in:

  • Producing, promoting, and supporting the marketing of events including budget management through to execution
  • Content development and promotion writing copy, organizing creative, and promoting (including paid advertising) across stories, reels and posts.
  • Working with third party agencies, suppliers and contractors to help get the job done.

About You:

We hire on attitude ahead of experience.

The role can be work from home (or we can look at getting you a small office), doesn't necessarily matter where you live but you would be required to do some travel out to the vineyard to help manage shoots (fortnightly), and keep a finger on the pulse.

Ideally someone located in Brisbane, Toowoomba or the Gold Coast would be preferred.

It doesn't need to be a 9-5 role, in fact we see this being a casual/part time role to start (particularly whilst we're pre-revenue), people with young families, or seeking a better work/life balance or simply whom have a small side hustle are encouraged to apply.

You should be nimble, very much resourceful, and efficient with both your time and your budget, you should have a creative mind and an attitude where anything is possible.

You should be a strong team player but equally be able to work and organize yourself without day to day management oversight.

You should have demonstrated experience in creating and promoting events, along with managing and creating an events calendar and working with a wider team (chefs, management) to deliver on and execute.

Experience in tourism, hospitality, destination marketing, event production/promotion highly advantageous.

Probably most importantly you should be a real person.

Someone who's down to earth, has an interest in (passion for ideally) country Queensland, tourism and travel, food and wine.

There's no ego's here, we are a busy, hardworking family and country at heart and seeking someone with similar values.
