The Office of Public Prosecutions (OPP) has an opportunity for highly motivated individuals to join our Executive Services Team in the new role of Legal Support Manager
The Legal Support Manager will work to lead and oversee legal support staff in the Legal Practice areas.

The successful incumbent will be working closely with the Trial Division (TD) Team Leaders to provide high quality leadership and guidance to the Legal support staff in the trial Divisions and Specialist Trial Prosecutions (STP) teams.

This role will plan and deliver consistency in legal support processes across the TD and STP and implement necessary changes and improvements along with management responsibility in change projects from time to time.


About the Role:


  • Includes managing of the Trial Division and STP Legal Support Staff including the TD Team Leaders and Intake and Allocations support staff.
  • Providing leadership, guidance and advice in relation to consistency in processes and delivery of legal support services.
  • Building and maintaining a culture of collaboration with OPP Managers and the wider Legal Practice.
  • Demonstrated experience and skills in people management and the management of large teams.
  • An understanding of legal support/administration and its processes, particularly in a sensitive legal environment.
  • High level conceptual and analytical skills as well as the ability to identify and implement innovative solutions, including adopting technology and digital tools.
