About the RoleWorkPac are currently seeking an experienced Fixed Plant Advisor to join our client Rio Tinto in their Inventory Management team.
The Advisor Inventory Planning utilises outputs from analytical/statistical analysis combined with their own technical category knowledge and expertise to deliver optimum inventory outcomes within an assigned portfolio of spares; and within defined corporate inventory targets.
Success in this role requires significant collaboration with internal and external stakeholders to deliver positive outcomes in recursive tasks; adhering to a consistent framework of inventory management policies, procedures, processes and work practices that drives good practice across the business.
Responsibilities:
Define, manage and implement inventory strategy in conjunction with key stakeholders (e.g. RTP, finance, MP&E) for the allocated portfolio of spares
Drive all aspects of inventory reduction / optimisation towards agreed targets
Conduct daily/weekly/monthly reviews for obsolete stock, exceptions and critical parts
Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure material availability
Enhance Inventory Planning practise governance and continuously deliver improvement initiatives
Review stock-take result and ensure integrity
Manage plant-level master data parameter setting
Skills an Experience
At least 5 years experience in Inventory management and supply chain
Resource experience preferred
Multi-site or multi Business Unit
Operational experience preferred
Good working knowledge of SAP, Microsoft Office and ERP Systems
Strong computer skills ? Microsoft Office and ERP Systems.
A high standard of communication skills
Warehouse and/or Logistics background
Mining or construction experience
Certificate level qualification in supply or procurement discipline
