RUC Mining want to discuss the Underground Construction Manager vacancy within their Shaft Sinking team on the COSMOS project till December 2023.

The successful applicant will effectively be required to assist the Project Manager to manage the UG mining operations by providing technical and functional leadership that will ensure effective implementation of projects within the required scope, budget and time frames.

You would also take the following in your stride:

Provide leadership to the project team demonstrating excellence in personal interaction, employee engagement, employee relations and teamwork.
Establish project schedules, budgets, quality, and safety standards.
Prepare, coordinate and oversee implementation of contracts & procurement procedures.
Set quality assurancequality control (QA/QC), cost and safety standards and ensuring standards are met.
Collaborate with Project Manager to ensure the provision of appropriately skilled construction resources, with the fit for purposes processes & tools, are available to achieve the project's integrated scope, cost & schedule requirements.
Interpret plans and specifications and ensuring project conformity including any relevant laws and regulations.
Contribute to research and development projects.
Must have significant steel construction experience with crane and rigging equipment
Must have undertaken Shaft and or vertical UG steel work installation
Competent in managing contractors and subcontractors
Excel/Modelling skills
Proven experience in Resources & Mining sectors
Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skillsDetailed knowledge of project controls and management
Financial acumen
