About Us


PwC Private Tax Advisory supports some of Australia's largest privately owned businesses and their owners in navigating the challenges of their unique financial journeys.

As part of our team, you'll use your skills in accounting, tax, consulting and finance whilst developing relationships and working as part of a team.


In your role within Private Tax Advisory (Business Tax or Family Office), you will provide fully integrated tax and advisory services to your clients, including businesses across a diverse range of industries, entrepreneurs, high-net-wealth individuals and family offices.

You will be solving problems that are important to our clients every day, including:


  • Managing and executing transactions in the private market
  • Advising clients on tax compliance matters
  • Designing and implementing structures that are fit for our client's commercial objectives
  • Liaising with the Australian Taxation Office (ATO), including representing our clients during ATO engagements and managing their tax reporting obligations
  • Providing advice around the purchase of new investments or business assets
  • Supporting families as they look to transfer wealth between generations, including through their estate planning
  • Helping our clients contribute to important causes through private charities and philanthropic giving to support environmental, social and charitable agendas

About the Opportunity
In the PwC Private Tax Advisory team, you'll find yourself in a culture that values wellbeing and working together.

What will a normal day look like? Well, you can count on that every day you will:

  • Work in a team and interact with your clients and other stakeholders on tax compliance and tax research
  • Conceptualise and implement structures to support our clients in meeting their commercial objectives
  • Represent our clients during engagements with the Australian Tax Office and partner with them to meet their tax compliance objectives;
  • Help to manage and execute market transactions
  • Be surrounded strong mentors, meaningful work and plenty of networking opportunities
As a graduate in PwC Private Tax Advisory, the top three skills you'll need to hit the ground running are:

  • A degree in either Commerce, Accounting or Law
  • An understanding of key accounting and tax principles with eagerness to continue learning (such as Chartered Accounting)
  • A focus and passion in the midmarket private business space
Anticipated start date is February 24, 2025.
