Description:

The Role


Reporting to the Senior Category Manager, you will be responsible for contributing to the strategy, roadmap, and value proposition of specified Fairview products.

You will manage the product lifestyle for each specified product to ensure profitable and sustainable growth.

This position may appeal to those with product brand management experience / backgrounds.

The role is based in Fairview's Lithgow OR Sydney Office, however time will be required at both locations.

The Responsibilities

  • Product Strategy the position in market, value proposition, pricing and targets.
  • Be the expert on selected products, how they are used in the market, the market's design criterion, and our plan to service and extract value from the market.
  • Sales Growth Initiatives grow our sales volumes by determining and leading activities
  • Gain deep marketing insight on customer needs, achieve targeted focus from our sales force, understand customer complaints and feedback, lead and undertake product testing, and develop product displays, samples and promotional materials with the Marketing Team.
  • Supply Chain Initiatives work with Procurement to lead supply chain activities such as:
  • Customisation of the product to suit specific requirements, establish supplier service agreements and conditions of purchase, and coordinate supplier provided samples.
  • Product Development develop our products to meet emerging market requirements including:
  • Complete the system package with accessories and/or data, and enhancement to the physical qualities of the product offering.

The position will involve working with:
Sales

  • Provide technical support.
  • Ensure the sales team is trained and supported so they are confident to promote and sell the products.
  • Gain feedback in view of product improvement.
  • Support the process for tendering of projects.
Marketing

  • Operate as part of the broader Marketing Department.
  • Ensure all printed and soft literature is up to date and promotes the products.
  • Provide input into the development of productspecific campaign briefs, inclusive of product USP's, product sales pipeline and targets.
  • Provide support for the development of Continual Professional Development presentations and training programs specific to your products.
  • Ensure marketing comms and campaigns are in alignment with the product strategies.
Operations

  • Ensure supply chain and product quality delivers above market expectations.
Procurement

  • Support order placement and expediting in accordance with supply / service level agreements.
  • Performing supplier reviews.
  • Monthly pricing and forecasting for relevant products.
  • Resolving product quality issues.

Skills and Experiences:


  • Knowledge of or experience in the construction / building material industry is preferred.
  • Knowledge of Fairview's product range is preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, confident with phone calls and facetoface meetings.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritise and manage time effectively.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Strong customer relationship and rapport skills.
  • Track record of achieving targets.
  • Experience with Smartsheet and NetSuite is preferred.
