With the recent appointment of a new Chief Human Resources Officer & Head of HR Operations, the business is looking to appoint a Payroll Manager who can review, refine existing payroll processes & in partnership with key colleagues to select new systems architecture for HRIS & support the upgrade the existing payroll system.


Due to the complex structure of this regulatory environment, it is essential that you have exposure to navigating change in governmental or educational institution.


The Role

  • Delivery of Fortnightly Payroll for over 3,000 employees across three business entities
  • Provide mentorship & support to two Operational Team Leaders, two Senior Payroll Officers, a Superannuation specialist, and a Payroll Analyst.
  • Build strong relationships with crossfunctional stakeholders, such as HR & Finance
  • Act as Payroll SME & Business Partner to employees and key personnel across the organisation
  • Provide advice around award & EA interpretation, payroll governance, taxation & super legislation
  • The ability to troubleshoot & reconfigure noncompliance issues
  • Drive process systems improvement & process optimisation projects
  • Deep knowledge of current landscape of available Payroll & HRIS systems.
  • Exemplary verbal & written communication skills
