About the role
This is an exciting opportunity to join the Melanoma and Surgical Oncology Department at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital.

The Department of Melanoma and Surgical Oncology at RPA is a quaternary referral centre and treats the largest number of melanoma cases in NSW each year, with melanoma being Australia's third most common cancer.

The department is seeking a motivated, administrative professional with a strong focus on customer service and attention to detail.


Whilst the position is located within the Cancer Service ambulatory service, the position sits within the Ambulatory Care Business Unit, which manages the centralised workforce structure for all Ambulatory Care administrative staff across RPA.


We are looking for someone who has
***- Previous experience in an administrative setting with established high level computer literacy and typing skills, including experience with dictaphone transcribing equipment or software, with a minimum typing speed of 60wpm.

  • The ability to work to support a Head of Department, independently with mínimal supervision and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • An understanding of patient confidentiality guidelines and staff obligations regarding same along with Medical Terminology or certificate demonstrating completion of same.

About working for SLHD
