About the role
As a pivotal member of the executive team, the CFO will proactively contribute to the strategic direction, growth, and leadership of State Library Victoria, providing sound financial advice to the CEO, Finance Committee and Board.
With a customer centric approach, the CFO will lead and develop a large corporate services portfolio encompassing finance, administration, risk and governance, strategy and property to improve business efficiencies and effectiveness.
The role will manage financial planning and budgeting activities and enhance reporting and insights to inform decision making.Building strong relationships with key stakeholders such as funders, suppliers, partner organisations and Creative Victoria, the appointee will be focused on maximising long-term sustainable revenue to drive the delivery of the library's ambitious agenda.
About you
CA/CPA qualified, you are a future focussed finance executive with a growth mindset, ideally with experience in the commercial sector and an appreciation for the public or for purpose sectors.
You have a track record of leading meaningful transformation across processes and systems to ensure sustainability and best practice and have engaged, empowered and lifted capability across teams.
Your ability to build trust, provide forthright and insightful advice, gain credibility with stakeholders and evolve financial maturity will be the ultimate key to your success in this defining role for the library and the broader community.
