The role
The Travel Specialist role adds value to Woolworths Group through the management and coordination of all travel activities.

As the Travel Specialist you will have a responsibility for the strategic direction recommendations through to the overall day to day effectiveness of the travel program, including mitigation of any issues and implementation of improvement opportunities which arise.


Location of Role

This position will be located in the Company's Support Office in Bella Vista Sydney as well as having the flexibility to work from home.


Role responsibilities

  • Manage and develop the interface between the Procurement Travel organisation and the internal customer (travellers, bookers, functional stakeholders)
  • Work closely with the Services Operations Manager to ensure the 'traveller community' voice is considered in travel sourcing and travel process design
  • Ensure full implementation of all travel contracts and work closely with the Services Operations Manager to assess supplier usage, trends, performance
  • Serve as a point of escalation managing complaints and issues with the TMC operations manager to resolution
  • Design impactful communication material to engage travellers on new initiatives, opportunities and to drive overall compliance to the travel program and online adoption
  • Support/Manage implementation of new tools and processes to enhance service delivery and program effectiveness
  • Respond to Duty of Care initiatives in coordination with Woolworths Group Travel Policy
  • Manage supplier relationships on a daytoday basis under supervision of Services Operations Manager supporting business reviews and negotiations
  • Manage reporting on travel activity and savings

Skills

  • 3+ years' experience in managing corporate travel in a large corporation and strong understanding of the business travel eco system
  • Customer centric approach with expertise in problem solving
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to build true business partnerships
  • Effective stakeholder management
  • Wellorganised, reliable, and proactive
  • An analytical mind with strong business acumen
  • Proficient with Excel, PowerPoint and other MS Office products, Experience in Google Suite
