About the Role:


  • The WHS Advisor not only manages the various risk management processes, but also responsible for ensuring current practices and responsibilities are contributing to a safe working environment.

This includes:

  • Ensuring that we are achieving regulatory compliance by being fully aware of the requirements and ensuring that we are adhering to those standards.
  • Collaborating with the Operations Team on the various requirements of Child safety.
  • Actively managing Workers Compensation and factors that contribute to premium costs.
  • Ensuring that the process of reporting and followup of incidents and hazards by managers is being diligently attended to.
  • Capturing learning from incidents and hazards, identifying trends and informing management of changes that need to be made.
  • Conducting and/or managing WHS audits, reporting back and implementing any changes.
  • Conducting & coordinating WHS/safety training.
  • Highlighting and making changes to policies and procedures.
  • Administrating safety processes and requirements, including proactively collaborating with the WHS Committee.
  • Capturing learnings from workplace injuries and implementing changes to applicable work practices.
This role is for 3 days per week, with Tuesday being required.

Contact Details:

To be successful in this role, you will need: Previous experience in a WHS management role. Awareness of best practice in safety in early education. Previous experience in the provision of training. A relevant WHS Qualification. To be comfortable in an environment where expressions of Christian Faith are commonplace.
