The compliance officer will assist in conducting internal quality and compliance audits, work on policy and procedures as applicable to stakeholders.

They will prepare briefs, provide data and reports for analysis and provide advice as required.

Description

  • Assist in conducting internal quality, compliance audits and reviews, and developing policy and procedure content as applicable to multiple stakeholder groups.
  • Receiving complaints, carrying out investigations, and providing advice as required.
  • Prepare briefs, summaries and reports, and proofread documents.
  • Ensuring compliance to ISO 9001 certification is being met across Business operations.
  • Collaborate with Internal Audit Team to meeting responsibilities as per WHSQ Audit Procedure
  • Maintenance of Data within Quality Issues Register and RAID Register as per respective Continual Improvement Processes.
  • Act as initial point of Contact in Quality Management nationally across business operations
  • Meeting WHS standards and fulfilling due diligence and any specific responsibilities and accountabilities under the Group and WHSQ Management System
  • Assist in conducting internal audits, and documenting audit reports.
  • Raising and assist to facilitate the resolution of items on the RAID identified through the Internal Audit procedure.
  • Preparing for external audits.
  • Providing support to business process owners to resolve issues identified in audits.
  • Internal and group projects as identified.


To be successful in this role, you will have previous experience of 3+ years working in risk, compliance or legal and an Undergraduate and/or Post Graduate qualifications or working towards, in Economics, Business Administration, Commerce.


Profile

Your background will demonstrate:


  • Experience undertaking a range of compliancerelated activities
  • Excellent customer service skills to enable the provision of timely, accurate information and general guidance to customers and other key stakeholders, in relation to compliance and associated matters.
  • Highly developed verbal and written communication skills to prepare and/or contribute to the preparation of timely and accurate reports, correspondence, briefings, and submissions relevant to compliance activities
  • Demonstrated experience in stakeholder management to maintain constructive relationships with key stakeholders, including coregulators and industry stakeholders, to optimise outcomes.
  • A keen interest in the work of the relevant team explained above.
  • Problem solving skills, with the ability to analyse options and provide recommendations.
  • Responsiveness to shifting priorities and the ability to be agile and flexible, delivering quality outcomes quickly.
  • Highquality written communication and analysis or the capability to develop this skill.
  • Strong customer engagement skills, including the ability to provide information and advice to a range of stakeholders.
  • Experience in SAP and Oracle Information systems is desirable.
