The APS Academy works to ignite a culture of learning and enable APS people, teams and organisations to have the fundamental capabilities to excel as a high performing, skilled and connected one-APS workforce.

To assist with enhancing the capability of the APS workforce, we:

  • Build capability in the APS craft and enable APS people and teams to share knowledge and networks to collaborate
  • Provide access to leading learning and development programs, resources and experiences across the APS
  • Maximise the impact of learning and development expertise and investment in the APS
  • Leverage and connect key networks and stakeholders to facilitate knowledge sharing and best practice
  • Engage, grow, retain and deploy oneAPS talent and capability in a purposeful way.

About the Role

Key responsibilities include:

  • Provide support to external stakeholders as an initial point of contact for the APS Academy including:
  • attending to enquiries on the APS Academy hotline in a prompt and efficient manner
- meeting and greeting participants/stakeholders attending learning and development courses at the Academy in a courteous and friendly way.
- identifying, triaging and escalating requests in the APS Academy inbox

  • Thinking of what value, you can add to each interaction as the initial point of contact.
  • Undertaking enrolment, administration and logistic activities for scheduled learning programs i.e. Administer course information in the Learning Management System
  • Undertaking a range of activities to support the delivery of a large program of events for the Academy.
  • Resolving issues, conducting research and performing high level services to internal and external stakeholders
  • Contributing to and monitoring information resources e.g., procedures, processes and documents
  • Contributing new ideas and maximising the benefits of change, including the identification of opportunities to improve the efficiency of business processes.
  • Adhering to workplace safety, equity and diversity, participative management and effective workplace environments and acting in accordance with the APS Values and Behaviour
