Description

Assistance Dogs Australia is looking for a new leader to create transformation, growth & a best practice approach to its (dog assisted) allied health service (Occupational Therapy & Psychology).

This is a newly created role reporting directly to the COO. we would also consider a part time appointment for the right person.


About your team:


Your 3 direct reports are fun, collaborative, want to grow the service & deliver the best care for their clients.


About the organisation:

We are one of the largest national providers of Assistance Dogs for people with disability in Australia.

We offer a diverse range of programs to support people with physical disability, autism, PTSD and a range of facility based programs (dogs in schools and prisons to name a few).

We are a field leader in the provision of Animal Assisted Therapy (AAT), and this is a very important part of our organisation.


What does your new dream role look like:

You'll be joining the organisation at a very exciting time of growth, pioneering the way strategically and operationally to grow our allied health service.

Today we have 2 disciplines (Occupational therapy & psychology) within this space, and in our tomorrow, this looks like much more.


You will be collaborating with leaders in the organisation to deliver a clinically informed best practice approach to all things programs.

You will be instrumental to leading this growth and have the ability to grow with the role.

You will be working with a dynamic leader who is keen to develop and invest in the growth of people.


About you:


You believe in the power of the human animal bond and know that Animal Assisted Therapy brings huge benefit to participants.

You have experience leading clinicians and collaborating cross functionally. You have a high energy, dynamic and organised approach.

You must be comfortable around dogs all day, as they are the very core of our work.

You have commercial acumen and experience leading people, projects + change.


Salary:
$85, $100,000.00 per year
