We are looking for a
Project Operations Supervisor - Earthworks to supervise earthworks and deliver field logistics and operational support for exploration projects in the Pilbara region.

This a great opportunity for an experienced earthworks supervisor to play a vital role within the operations support team, working alongside a team of industry experts.

Reporting to the Regional Project Coordinator, you will:

Train and coach less experienced team members in operational and HSEC policies and practices.
Supervise earthworks contractors in the field establishing access tracks, drill site pads and rehabilitation works
Work with Project Managers and Ground Disturbance Approval Team to understand project requirements, and advise, plan and implement project support and logistics activities
Provide generalist support across a range of tasks and activities including remote camp establishment, contractor supervision and HSE processes
Supervise the work of contractors in the field to ensure adherence to HSEC requirements and project standards.
Lead by example, taking a handson approach in the field

What you'll bring

To succeed in this role, you will have:

A commitment to the safety of yourself and your team
A background in remote earthworks, coordinating logistics and operational requirements
Leadership and behavioral qualities that align with Rio Tino's core values of Care, Courage Curiosity.
An aptitude to work in both field and office environments for extended and/or irregular periods of time
Ability to assess earthmoving project needs, coordinate logistics and operational support tasks and prioritise work to achieve project outcomes
Demonstrated ability to solve operational problems, adapt to change quickly and identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency

It will also be beneficial if you have:

Field project coordinator experience
Mechanical aptitude, Supervision of Earthworks contractors experience, GPS knowledge
Proven ability to develop positive and productive team relationships with a wide range of people
Computer literacy, ArcGIS / MapInfo experience, HR, LF High Risk License
