About the role

As a research-focused User Experience Designer, you will be working with a multidisciplinary team of UX Designers as well as the Product Owner, Journey Expert and Analyst to understand the areas for improvement and enhancements for ANZ's digital online origination channel for small business customers (GoBiz) to ensure that customers can navigate a simple and seamless customer experience.

This involves deep diving into data, leading customer feedback sessions to unpick various customer pain points and reporting back on the insights.

What your day looks like


Research process:

Lead the entire end-to-end process for both qualitative and quantitative research— guiding, planning, and delivering research that identifies the most important actions to deliver both customer and business value.


Analysis and synthesis:
Document research insights, identify key themes, trends and best practice and translate them into actionable design opportunities. Ensure the documents are stored in the team's research repository. Provide compelling rational for the design decisions made.


Customer testing:
Lead, plan and conduct various types of testing, online or face-to-face with small business customers. Capturing insights and feedback to inform business and technical requirements.


Prototyping:

Leverage your experience to choose the appropriate use of user flows, wireframes, and potential service touch points to ideate and validate solutions.


Ideation:
Use collaborative ideation techniques to create and validate solutions.


Project scoping:

Lead the scoping and planning of design activities in a project, ensuring the design activities remain on track and are set up for success.


Design artefacts:

Craft and deliver design artefacts that are high quality, consistent and coherent with alignment with our Design Strategy and Design System.


Framework and standards:
Ensure that our design methodologies, standards, and frameworks are adhered to and drive consistently engaging customer experiences.


Accessibility:
Proven understanding, knowledge and experience working with accessibility standards (i.e. WCAG 2.1) and how this can be applied.

What will you bring?


To grow and be successful, you will possess the following 'must have' skills and experience:3+ years as an experienced UX Designer with solid background across both digital and non-digital experiences.


Proven experience in conducting user testing including automated testing, interviews, and observation; and turning these observations into traceable actions for designers and developers.

Good ability to use research to develop solutions based on customer needs.

Knowledge of digital channels and platforms.

Ability to use research to develop complex information architecture based on user needs and focus content areas.


Confident with a range of design software tools (Figma, Figjam, Adobe Suite) whilst being open and adaptive to new trends and technologies.

Strong knowledge of Design Systems.


The following skill are also 'good to have':
Excellent writing, editing and proofreading skills.

Excellent stakeholder management, storytelling and influencing skills.

A design champion who advocates the value of design across the teams.

Ability to present messages in a clear, concise, and compelling manner.

A growth mindset, resilient nature, and an ability to cope and support others during uncertainty
