We are seeking a suitably experienced and highly motivated Performing Arts Assistant to join our college on a full time, ongoing basis.

This position provides a wide range of administrative and creative support to the Performing Arts department (Dance, Drama and Music) of the College.

-
Key responsibilities for the position include:
  • Assisting with producing, printing, distributing and collating permission slips for events
  • Assisting in developing risk assessments for events
  • Assist in the organisation of incursions and excursions
  • Liaise with external stakeholders as required
  • Assisting in administering Music Monitor for the Instrumental Music Program
  • Assist in running lunch time activities as necessary
  • Purchasing Officer for the Performing Arts department
  • Help set up for events including liaising with Facilities and AV departments
  • Attend SIS Performing Arts and Theatre sports excursions in a supervisory manner
  • Assist with College Production (including both administrative tasks and creative aspects)
  • Assist with Instrumental Music Concerts, SOS, Junior Play and Cabaret Night as necessary
  • Assist in the running of Arts Week
  • Other duties as directed by the Principal or the Performing Arts Team Leader or Coordinators
  • Ability to organise information, people and things in a systematic way
  • Passion and interest in Performing Arts
  • Can establish clear priorities and meet deadlines
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • Can effectively build and maintain relationships
  • Excellent computer skills and experience and understanding of Microsoft products
  • Demonstrates strong organisation skills
  • Flexible and adaptable to changing conditions
  • General knowledge and interest in Performing Arts
  • Commitment to occupational health and safety
  • Understand and follow relevant College policy and government legislation
  • An understanding of and commitment to Catholic Education.
