Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage the daytoday operations of a SIL house, including rostering, staff supervision and training, and ensuring compliance with policies and procedures, NDIS standards and regulatory requirements.
- Develop and implement individual support plans and behaviour support plans for clients with input from the SIL Manager, NDIS Support Coordinators and other relevant stakeholders.
- Monitor and evaluate client progress and ensure the delivery of highquality services and supports, consistent with NDIS goals and outcomes.
- Ensure the provision of culturally appropriate and sensitive services to clients, with a focus on their individual needs and preferences.
- Manage client incidents and complaints in accordance with the company's incident reporting and management policies and procedures.
- Liaise with clients, their families, guardians, and other stakeholders to ensure that the services and supports provided meet their needs and expectations.
- Promote the company's values and philosophy in all interactions with clients, staff and stakeholders.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in a supervisory role in the disability sector, preferably in a SIL or group home environment.
- Knowledge of the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission standards, and experience in implementing and monitoring quality systems and processes.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and establish positive relationships with clients, staff and stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with strong leadership and decisionmaking skills.
- Sound understanding of the principles of personcentred support and a commitment to promoting the rights, dignity and autonomy of clients.
- Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise and manage competing demands effectively.
- Current driver's licence and willingness to travel as required.
