In 2023, we are establishing a new business within Coles Group - Coles Product Supply Services. We have signed our first customer and we are preparing for launch.

As a result, we seek to employ an experienced Finance Business Partner who will work with the entire team including with the Invoicing manager; Pricing and Forecasting team, as well as the internal and external key stakeholders including:

the CWS leadership team; Viva/Express Finance team; Accounts Payable team; Accounts Receivables team and also the Central Reporting; Corporate Reporting; Supply Chain Finance and the Coles IT Team to ensure that Coles Product Supply Services meets all it fiscal targets and objectives.

You will play a critical role in shaping and delivering the long-term strategy of Coles Product Supply Services to ensure we can continue to deliver excellent products to our customers.


You will be responsible for:


  • Building and running the business' reporting, including SLA reporting, noting that systems enablement is limited for day 1 for the Coles Wholesale Services business
  • Providing factbased insight and commentary for BAU performance
  • Influencing business partner decisionmaking with fact based, insightful, and innovative analysis
  • Supporting business processes' governance and ensure an appropriate audit trail is maintained.
  • Driving objectives by ensuring business priorities and daytoday processes are delivered
  • Completing business cases for any new business initiatives
  • Setting adequate budgets and forecasts. Carry out an effective monthly review of results
  • Identifying and defining system improvements to enhance the ability to deliver on objectives
  • Supporting the development of the budgeting and forecasting process.

About you and your skills


Highly effective communication skills, verbal and written, have strong interpersonal skills with the ability to influence at all levels of the organisation with the ability to link strategy and financial performance to provide a clear and compelling narrative.

With a sharp commercial/ wholesale skills and growth mindset, you also have;

  • Finance experience in a wholesale/retail/FMCG environment is desirable but not essential
  • Experience in working with and influencing nonfinancial stakeholders
  • Experience in building new reporting processes and ensuring high quality reporting in a manual environment
  • Proven experience in preparing, understanding and analysing financial information to identify business opportunities/challenges and recommend alternate actions
  • Proven ability to challenge & influence key business stakeholders to develop 'winwin' solutions
  • Previous experience in managing priorities and expectations
  • Previous experiences working in a team environment
