The purpose of the Rectification Analyst is to assist in the remediation of incidents and errors, explore root causes of incidents and systemic errors and implementing process or system updates or control to ensure few overall incidents and eradication of repeated errors as well as actual remediation of errors on multiple administration platforms.
Rectification Analysts work with closely with Incident Managers to ensure incidents are remediated within agreed timeframes in order to meet client expectations.
The Claims Case Manager also provides technical guidance, coaching and trouble-shooting support to our GSD Colleagues (based in India) and the Insurance Services team, whilst mentoring and developing new staff.
Responsibilities:
Remediation of Errors
- Remediate errors based on a standard methodologies and consistent with Mercer's core values
- Identify the impact of errors and increase the scope of investigations and remediation where required.
- Support Incident Rectification Leader and Incident Managers with client conversations on an adhoc basis as required where explanation of complex remediation or calculations is required
Quality Management
- Identifying key learning and development outcomes to reduce the amount of incidents in the wider Mercer business.
- Develop proactive strategies with the Incident Manager to reduce incidents business wide
Prevention of Incidents
- Assist in the remediation of the root causes of assigned incidents
- Mitigation of risks of repeat occurrences by recommending changes to standard processes to create best practice outcomes across the business and align with transformation and continuous Improvement initiatives.
- Work with Operations teams, including GSD, to ensure that staff are training to prevent repeated incidents or errors.
What you need to have:
Education
- VCE/HSC or equivalent
- Relevant Tertiary Qualifications highly regarded
- RG146 preferred
Experience
- Minimum 5 years superannuation administration or project experience
- Extensive operational knowledge and experience within superannuation administration
- Previous experience on business wide projects
Knowledge & Skills
- Indepth knowledge of superannuation administration processes
- Extensive knowledge of the Superannuation environment, including knowledge of Defined Benefit arrangements
- Show initiative and enjoy working in a team environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication, presentation and facilitation skills
- Strong analytical and problemsolving skills
- SQL and moderate to advanced Excel skills
- Ability to influence outcomes to ensure efficient processes are maintained
- Ability to drive change and influence different levels of management
- Ability to make decisions
