The Role

In its 185th year, David Jones is undertaking a dynamic organisational wide transformation as part of its new Australian ownership structure.

To deliver our Vision 2025+ strategy, David Jones is creating a newly reshaped Technology function to transform how we create omnichannel environments that inspire like no other.

Reporting to the Head of Technology, the Infrastructure Manager is responsible for designing, deploying and maintaining technology infrastructure components such as servers, networks, and storage systems.

Importantly, you will ensure your team delivers efficiency, security and seamless operation of our technology infrastructure aligned to business needs and priorities.

Managing our vendor partners, you will ensure commercial SLAs and contracts are maintained without compromising on connectivity.

This role will suit a strategic, diplomatic and commercially astute infrastructure leader who is inspired to deliver significant transformation for Australia's most iconic luxury retail destination.

Key Responsibilities include:

Partner with Technology teams to develop and implement a strategic technology infrastructure plan
Manage and maintain network architecture, servers, storage systems, virtualisation, and other critical infrastructure components, including supporting Store environment
Ensure high availability, scalability, and reliability of all technology systems and services
Lead a team to address all allocated first and second level service calls, system incidents, change requests and work orders
Develop and enforce infrastructure policies, standards, and procedures to ensure compliance and security
As a leader coach and inspire teams to unlock the possibilities outstanding technology solutions can provide
A curious, customer obsessed and solution orientated mindset is essential
Tertiary qualified in Computer Science or other ITrelated area
Extensive knowledge of cloud, onpremises, and hybrid technology infrastructure
Experience managing all commercial relationships with external vendor partners
Strong knowledge and expertise of network architectures, technologies and topologies
Ability to respectfully challenge/qualify the design of a solution and its business suitability
Experience working with core infrastructure
Experience within the Retail industry or with eCommerce platforms highly regarded
