- Provide efficient day to day service delivery through education, interventions, group work, assessment, referral and case work within a recovery-orientated and person-led service environment.
- Develop and monitor individual treatment plans and maintain case management documentation, records, reports and data collection, utilising established case planning procedures.
- Undertake ad hoc duties as requested by the Manager, Program Manager, or Senior Case Worker.
- Demonstrate commitment to an environment that values continuous improvement and innovation in the delivery of high-quality services.
- Acquire and maintain a good working knowledge of referral and support options for participants.
- Work collaboratively and professionally with other services.
- A Minimum of Diploma level qualification in a relevant discipline (AOD, Community Services, Case Management).
- A valid NSW Drivers licence.
- The ability to deal with unpredictable situations and behaviours utilising de-escalation techniques.
- At least two years' experience in recovery, if applicable.
- Sound computer literacy.
- The ability to critically reflect on professional practice and attitudes.
- The ability to develop and tailor programs to meet participants' needs.
- The Knowledge of AOD, mental health, community services and health sectors.
- Experience and ability to work with those impacted by substance abuse, gambling and mental health conditions.
- Strong administrative, time-management and communication skills.
- Experience providing brief intervention and harm minimization information and support to individuals.
- Experience working in collaboration with other organisations.

We offer a range of services including Harm Reduction and Primary Health Services as well as a range of treatment types (including residential treatment centres, community-based support programs, counselling, and withdrawal management services).
The Dooralong Transformation Centre is Australia's largest drug, alcohol and gambling rehabilitation centre providing residential support services in an abstinence based, drug-free environment.
About the role
We are seeking a values-driven and proactive Alcohol and Other Drugs (AOD) Case Worker to provide effective service delivery, ensuring case management, assessment and referral, education and support are provided in accordance with The Salvation Army's guidelines.
Reporting to the Senior Case Worker, this is a permanent, full-time position based in Dooralong, NSW. Salary and conditions are in accordance with SCHADS Level 4.
