Flight Centre Travel Group are looking for an experienced
Product Owner to join our
Enterprise Technology Services (ETS) division. In this role, you will report to the Product Manager, helping to define roadmaps and implement strategies to design, build and deliver initiatives that align to the product and company's vision and strategy.


What you'll do...

  • Be an expert in your domain, live and breathe the product, always advocating for the customer
  • Actively participate in the product discovery activities which help shape delivery
  • Contribute to the wider strategic vision and roadmap
  • Manage the product backlog, including prioritisation, grooming and defect management
  • Gather and document business and technical requirements in collaboration with the business analysts
  • Construct and prioritise delivery processes to ensure that the development team is clear on what to work on next
  • Work collaboratively with the product manager and product team to identify a minimum viable product
  • Key role in agile software development, including estimations, planning, user story acceptance and release activities
  • Communicate the voice of the customer to the development team
  • Support the implementation of initiatives with crossfunctional teams
  • Ensure a quality product is delivered efficiently by working closely with team members throughout delivery

Who you are...

  • Ability to think critically and converse with technical architects and developers
  • Ability to negotiate without being adversarial
  • Empathy for customer experience, as well as data analysis
  • Proven track record of managing and launching initiatives
  • Ability to lead projects across multiple teams and stakeholders through organisation
  • Perform duties independently under general, mínimal supervision within specific assignments
  • Analyse, evaluate and integrate business processes and procedures
  • Write logical, comprehensive, concise reports and correspondence
  • Use troubleshooting and analytical skills
  • Utilise time management skills and multitasking capabilities
  • Develop and document business and processes, functions and procedures as required
  • Handle multiple and parallel features and initiatives in various stage of delivery

Extra travel points if you...

  • Come from a technical background
  • Have experience with JIRA/Confluence and Microsoft Product suite
  • Have travel domain experience
  • Understand or have experience with SAFE Agile methodologies
  • Have exposure to Product Board, Full Story Get Feedback, Optimizely, GA, Splunk etc.
  • Understand Business Analysis techniques
