Job Description

ACCIONA is responsible for building two waste-to-energy (WTE) plants in Perth.

East Rockingham (Western Australia), the country's second large-scale WTE plant, in a contract worth AU$ 511 million (€320 million), and Kwinana, worth AU$ 700 million (€430 million).

For the one at Kwinana, we are looking for a Training Coordinator.


About the role/ Opportunity:


The Training Coordinator will ensure the development and implementation of Project Training through the delivery, verification of training, and competency documentation.

This position will also be accountable for maintaining competency records for all personnel including the required O&M persons in line with contractual requirements.


Responsibilities include:

  • Ensure the development of Project Training modules and Competency Systems complying with site requirements.
  • Deliver structured training in both classroom & fieldbased situations.
  • Responsible for the verification of training and competency documents for personnel
  • Perform ongoing monitoring of personnel training and competency compliance in line with Project Training Matrix
  • Undertake the endtoend process for scheduling, booking, coordinating & delivering training for project personnel.
  • Collate training evaluation feedback provided by personnel for both internal and external training.
  • Function as a focal point for all project personnel during the project lifecycle regarding training scheduling, compliance, and system management
  • Undertake the development of content and deployment of projectspecific learning packages.
  • Responsible for compiling accurate information to meet both internal and external reporting criteria per project reporting schedule.
  • Build and develop relationships with key project stakeholders.
  • Undertake & and support the development and review of Project projectspecific training documentation from Design documents & and vendors manuals.
  • Deliver inhouse training of specific HSE procedures such as PTW, LOTO etc
Required Skills and Competencies

To be successful in this role you will need the following:

  • Minimum 2 years of overall experience within a similar position
  • Previous experience developing and delivering complex training in large scale industrial facilities.
  • Steam boiler & Turbine experience (HRWL preferred)
  • Previous experience in the development of Task Books (assessments)
