The Role


Reporting to the Head of Fundraising & Philanthropy, the Philanthropy Manager is responsible for the planning, development and implementation of the long-term philanthropic fundraising strategy and empowering your team to achieve budgets using a donor-centric focus.


Specifically, you will be responsible for:

  • Development of relationships with major donors, trusts, foundations, and corporates
  • Ensuring a rigorous move management process is in place, including monitoring of targets
  • Collaborating nationally to leverage relationships and build a successful program
  • Producing and delivering communications using a range of channels and technologies
  • Supporting the CEO and Board during the cultivation and solicitation process
Skill Required

You are a motivated self-starter who enjoys developing relationships internally and externally.

You will have experience in a similar fundraising role, creating and managing relationships with high-net-worth individuals and developing commercial partnerships.


A passion for working as part of a strong fundraising culture, where delivering an outstanding experience for donors is key, along with a solid understanding of the philanthropic landscape in Australia.


Additionally, you will have:

  • A solid understanding of relationship, major donor, and corporate fundraising
  • The ability to create compelling proposals and a persuasive case for support
  • Success in supporting a small team to achieve goals and increase revenue
  • Exceptional interpersonal, team building, stakeholder management and leadership skills
  • Proficiency in budget forecasting and monitoring
  • Capacity to travel regionally
